The Public Environmental Management Company Ihobe will carry out the functions outlined in its bylaws: - Under the guidelines of the Department responsible for the environment, contribute to the development of current and future environmental policy and the dissemination of a culture of sustainability in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, primarily in the areas of climate change, biodiversity, soil and air quality, waste, sustainable production and consumption, and the urban environment. - Support the Department responsible for the environment in the design and implementation of environmental policies, as well as in actions related to environmental management, control, and recovery. Generate and disseminate environmental knowledge, as well as promote eco-innovation in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. - Cooperate with public administrations, businesses, and citizens to carry out activities that promote the environmental objectives of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. - Carry out actions as a collaborating entity with the Department responsible for environmental matters, for the management of subsidies awarded by said Department, in full compliance with current regulations. - Any other actions related to the protection and improvement of the environment in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.
