Other Services and Resources

Ihobe, the Basque Government’s Public Environmental Management Company, provides a series of additional services that complete its work within the environmental improvement of the Basque Country, alongside the resources it makes available to citizens, companies, the research sector and the public administration.

In collaboration with other departments of the Basque Government, Ihobe directly manages or takes part in several stages of administrative procedures such as:
Application to the Soil Inventory

It is landowners’ duty (individuals or entities) to protect the soil, and they are responsible for being aware of and controlling the quality of the soil, in order to make sure that there have not been potentially polluting activities that may pose future health and environmental risks.

The “Consultations to Soil Quality Administrative Registry” must be processed electronically through the INGURUNET platform within the framework of the procedure called RACS:

Users can write to the following email address to ask any questions regarding the processing of the application: ingurumena@euskadi.eus
Ingurunet

The Basque Government’s Environmental Information and Processing System - Ingurunet - manages the electronic processing of all administrative procedures regarding the environment. Ingurunet collects all the information and/or documentation requested from interested parties and those resulting from the procedure developed by the Basque administration itself.

Ingurunet currently offers the possibility of carrying out the following administrative procedures electronically:
Grants and subsidies

The Public Environmental Management Company manages and/or processes grants and subsidies, depending on the functions delegated to Ihobe relating to the calls for applications published by the Basque Government.

The status of the grants or subsidies is linked to the application process for past or current calls for applications included in the list of grants. However, some of these grants or subsidies are still active from an administrative processing point of view, so entities can continue to carry out their procedures in the “My procedures” section.
Best Environmental Practice

The Basque Government’s Public Environmental Management Company has a repository where the best environmental practice developed by administrations, companies and organisations is described.

This catalogue highlights tried-and-tested models for reducing the impact of their activity and favouring sustainable development in accordance with current certification standards.
