The Soil Protection Strategy 2030 responds to the need to preserve a crucial, irreplaceable resource for society with an approach that brings together previously stand-alone elements in favour of a new paradigm focused on integration based on innovative concepts.

The document has been prepared in collaboration with different levels of the administration, stakeholders, and members of society in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country with soil management and is regulated by the Fifth Additional Provision of Law 4/2015, of 25 June, for the prevention and remediation of soil contamination in the Basque Country.
