BasquESG offers a set of services designed to support Basque industrial SMEs throughout their sustainability assessment, reporting and improving process. The aim is to provide accessible, practical support in line with European guidelines.
Introductory sessions to understand the European context, the sustainability requirements and the role of SMEs in the value chain.
Approximate length: 2 hours.

Specialised training in the three areas of sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance), aimed at the companies acquiring the necessary knowledge to apply the assessment system independently.
Approximate length: 1.5 hours.

Practical support for the rolling out of the methodology, ESG data compilation, preparing the report based on the VSME and completion of the management tool.
It includes specific guidance for the external verification.
A verification process that ensures that the ESG reporting of the company complies with the requirements of the system, by providing reliability, rigour and trust for customers, financial institutions and other stakeholders.

BasquESG will offer a digital tool specifically developed to support SMEs in conducting ESG assessments and reporting through a simple and guided process, fully aligned with the VSME Standard. The tool is currently being developed. Free access for Basque SMEs, once the tool becomes available, will be provided to companies that join the BasquESG initiative.
